Quick answer: An EMI calculator estimates a fixed monthly principal-and-interest payment for a loan. Mayexa also shows an amortization schedule and extra-payment scenarios. It is a planning illustration based on your inputs; it is not a lender quotation or a statement of all borrowing costs.

Understand the method before choosing an action
For principal P, monthly rate r and n payments, the standard fixed-rate expression is P × r × (1+r)^n / ((1+r)^n − 1). At a zero interest rate, the payment is P/n. The annual nominal rate is divided by twelve; this is different from modeling daily accrual or changing interest rates.
A practical example to work through
An illustrative 12,000-unit loan over twelve months at zero interest has a base payment of 1,000 units per month before fees. Use this simple case to understand the schedule, then enter the rate from your own quotation. Compare a recurring extra payment with a one-time prepayment while keeping the base loan inputs identical.
Use the Mayexa workspace
- Enter the loan amount, fixed annual nominal rate and tenure in months or years.
- Review monthly principal-and-interest payment and total cost. Currency changes only the display label.
- Optionally compare recurring and one-time prepayments; check savings, actual payoff and the final payment.
- Expand monthly/yearly amortization or rate scenarios, copy/download a summary or export the monthly CSV. Confirm fees and repayment rules with your lender.
Limits, privacy and interpretation
Fees, insurance, taxes and prepayment penalties are excluded. Amounts are settled in cents and the final installment may differ because the outstanding balance must be cleared. Confirm the lender's rounding, payment dates and prepayment rules. Currency selection changes display labels rather than performing exchange-rate conversion, and your loan inputs stay in the browser.
No Mayexa account is required. Review the workspace's processing labels and limits before entering data.
