How to use Resume Builder

  1. Preview Elegant, Modern or Minimal, then start from scratch or import a local resume for reviewed autofill. Examples are fictional and do not populate your resume.
  2. Follow the guided contact, background, writing and review steps. Enter real education, experience, projects and skills.
  3. Choose Elegant, Modern or Minimal and reorder sections. Empty sections are omitted; reminders are not ATS or hiring scores. Undo/redo restores up to twenty in-tab edits; clearing also removes edit history.
  4. Optionally import a local resume. Review/edit suggested mappings and select fields before applying; unmatched text remains available.
  5. Optional AI uses only text you explicitly submit. Review and apply suggestions yourself. Local keyword comparison provides terms to consider, never an ATS score.
  6. Adjust accent, spacing and font size; review every exported page. Download PDF, editable Word, text or a private JSON backup. Local drafts require explicit consent and Save.

Limits and assumptions

No ATS score or interview guarantee. Optional AI requires server configuration and explicit consent; only selected text and target role go to OpenAI. Review suggestions for errors. Import one file up to 5 MiB; PDF up to 10 pages; 50,000 extracted characters. No OCR, legacy DOC, encrypted or signature-bearing PDF. Up to 10 entries per structured section, 20,000 characters per notes section and 100,000 per normalized document. Direct PDF uses Latin fonts and up to 20 pages; use browser Print or Word for other writing systems. Drafts and backups are unencrypted.

Optional AI assistance is not connected on the current deployment, and no provider-generated writing should be assumed.

Do I need a Mayexa account?

No Mayexa account is required. Review the workspace's processing labels and limits before entering data.

Does this tool write achievements or provide an ATS score?

Optional AI can improve your supplied facts when configured. It never applies text automatically; check every suggestion. Local examples and a content checklist work without AI. No ATS score, interview or hiring outcome is promised.

Can I import an existing resume privately?

Yes. Local UTF-8 TXT, DOCX raw text and text-based PDF are supported within limits. Review suggestions before replacing selected fields. Scans need manual entry. Import files stay in your browser; optional AI separately sends only text you consent to submit.

How are drafts and exports handled?

Saving requires explicit local-draft consent and a Save action; nothing auto-saves or auto-loads. Drafts are unencrypted on this device. Direct PDF supports Latin fonts; Print / Save as PDF uses browser-supported fonts. Delete saved drafts and exported/clipboard copies separately.
