How to use Password Generator

  1. Choose length, batch count and the character classes accepted by your account.
  2. Optionally exclude similar characters; at least one class must stay selected.
  3. Generate, then show or copy individual passwords or the full batch. Downloads are unencrypted text files.
  4. Save unique passwords in a trusted password manager. Clear results and remove clipboard/download copies when finished.

A practical example

Create five 20-character passwords with mixed character classes.

How it works

Web Crypto getRandomValues; rejection-sampled indices; one random character per selected class; alphabet fill; secure Fisher-Yates shuffle. Class enforcement is not uniform over all valid strings.

Limits and assumptions

8-128 characters; 1-20 passwords. Browser Web Crypto is required. No server requests, storage, drafts or password telemetry. Clipboard and text downloads contain unencrypted secrets. Model estimates are not breach checks or cracking-time predictions.

Frequently asked questions

What does Password Generator help with?

A random password generator creates a fresh character sequence rather than adapting a memorable personal phrase. Mayexa uses browser Web Crypto and lets you choose length, character classes and batch size. Password results are generated locally and are not sent to usage analytics.

What should I check before relying on the result?

Clipboard histories and unencrypted TXT downloads can retain secrets after you clear the workspace. Remove unnecessary copies and protect any file you keep. The tool does not check breaches, inspect your accounts or promise that a password alone prevents compromise. Authentication protections and the destination service's handling of passwords still matter.

Do I need a Mayexa account?

No Mayexa account is required. Review the workspace's processing labels and limits before entering data.

Are passwords sent to a server?

No. Generation uses browser Web Crypto locally. No passwords are stored, sent to analytics or included in URLs.

What does the bits estimate mean?

It is a conservative model lower bound, assuming independent secure random draws: (length minus selected classes) times log2(alphabet size). Class enforcement does not produce a uniform distribution over all valid strings. The estimate is not a breach check or cracking-time prediction.

Are copies and downloads protected?

Copied passwords may remain in clipboard history. Downloads are unencrypted text files. Protect or remove those copies after saving your passwords. Clearing this workspace cannot remove them.
