Quick answer: A QR code stores a payload that a compatible scanner can read. Mayexa creates static QR codes for links, text, Wi-Fi, email, phone, SMS, contacts, locations and UTC events. Generation runs locally; it does not create a tracked redirect or an editable hosted campaign.

Understand the method before choosing an action

Choose the correct payload type before entering details. A website code needs the full intended URL; a Wi-Fi code includes network details and potentially a password. Anyone who can scan or inspect that downloaded code may be able to read its contents, so treat private payloads as shareable credentials.

A practical example to work through

For a printed menu, enter the final HTTPS page URL and export SVG for scalable artwork or a sufficiently large PNG. Keep the clear border and strong contrast. Scan the downloaded file with the devices your visitors will use, then repeat the test on the actual print at its intended viewing distance.

Use the Mayexa workspace

  1. Choose Website, Text, Wi-Fi, Email, Phone, SMS, Contact, Location or Event.
  2. Enter the relevant details; preview updates in this browser tab.
  3. Adjust maximum PNG size, colors, correction and optional local logo; resolve validation warnings.
  4. Download PNG or SVG, keep the quiet border and scan-test on intended devices before sharing.

Limits, privacy and interpretation

An optional logo is checked with a local decoder before download is enabled, but this does not guarantee physical scanning. Dense payloads, print quality, camera focus and low contrast can still cause failures. A static code's contents cannot be changed after downloading; if the linked page moves, maintain that URL or generate a replacement code.

No Mayexa account is required. Review the workspace's processing labels and limits before entering data.
